Private messaging
Understand one-to-one conversations and where to find them.

Select a chatter
Use the People panel or a profile card.

Start a message
Choose Message when your role and their settings allow it.

Send a private message
Type in the private conversation instead of a public room.

Control the conversation
Use the available messaging controls; do not assume private messages are end-to-end encrypted.
Good to know
Moderation or safety rules may apply to private messaging. Avoid sending passwords or other sensitive information.
